Great product & service (but beware of car exhaust - read!)

Reviewed By Jennifer W (Leesburg, VA) Reviewed for a 2006 Chrysler Pacifica —7/4/2008 5:03 AM

I couldn't be happier with the service from Auto Anything... ordered this hitch one day at 10:00 a.m. and received it the next day (free shipping!). The hitch was easy to install. I bought this to use with a hitch rack (tray carrier). I have a Chrysler Pacifica (crossover)and the exhaust hits level with the tray, so putting anything on the far right of tray is not recommended. We found this hard way this week as we drove to the beach. Thankfully someone flagged us down on the interstate to tell us we were having a problem. When we pulled over we realized the rubbermaid tub on the tray was on fire.. the exhaust had burned through the tub and the contents had melted. We were lucky it didn't explode... and in hindsight we should have noticed the potential danger. Doesn't change my review of this excellent product, just want others to take note of where their vehicle exhaust is.

Not too bad for the price

Reviewed By Bryant B (GREENWOOD, DE) Reviewed for a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica —10/18/2017 10:09 AM

It wasn't too bad to install being that I didn't have to splice or cut anything. The only thing I didn't like very much was the fact that the directions were suppose to be specific to my vehicle and I had to do a few things differently. Other than that, it turned out well.
