CURT Front Mount Trailer Hitches bolt onto your vehicle frame’s underside just like rear mount hitches—the only difference is that these towing accessories are placed in the front of your ride. They’re specifically designed to mount on vans, trucks and SUVs, and they can easily be used with accessories like spare tire mounts, license plate holders, step pads and more.

Front Mount Trailer Hitches from CURT not only boast ultimate versatility, but they’re also built tough to survive the most demanding tasks. Using choice slabs of steel, CURT robotically welds every joint for maximum strength and seals up the ends to prevent internal corrosion. Plus, each CURT Front Mount Receiver Hitch is finished with a thick powder coating to fight off surface rust and scratches, as well as damage from UV rays. Your CURT Front Mount Trailer Hitch is made in the USA (some of which may contain imported hardware) and comes backed by a Limited Lifetime Warranty and 1-year finish warranty.

Easy to install, excellent quality, but trimming the air dam...

This is a great product. Nice and solid. As mentioned by others, easiest to install on a lift. Installation is about as smooth and easy as it gets, but you do need two people. Make sure you apply upward pressure as you tighten the new fish-wired bolts so the (existing) end-cap bolts will reach (this is one place where the second prison comes in; the first is just getting the 40+ lb. sucker in place). Air dam trim instructions are hard to follow. Just position it, mark it, cut it a little, repeat

Not for my specific vehicle

Mount is solidly built. Strong. However, something about the Tradesman version of the Ram 2500 that this hitch does not fit. 4 bolt holes line up perfectly, but the long arms will not allow me to slide it into place.

Instructions stink.

Product is fine. Instructions are absolutely terrible. In today's day and age they should provide color images and more of them on line, even a 5-10 min video. This is so simple to do. Also the cut out of the lower windshield is up to you to figure out. Again, give the DIY crowd something to work with.

Nice product overall, but.....

Nice quality/fit. Would be nice if it fit higher up . Sits a little low to the ground just under the plastic. I not have minded if plastic trimming was required to get a higher fit. Considered cutting and re-welding, but built a little skid plate instead to slide into the receiver when not in use.

Excellent product and price

Easy for home install. Should warn potential buyers will require a 17/32" drill bit or preferably a 9/16" drill bit for installation. These can cost $30 and are not commonly in home workshops.

CURT Front Mount Trailer Hitch

CURT Front Mount Trailer Hitch arrived on time. Fit was good and tight and easy to install by myself, although a second pair of hands would have made things a little easier. Very happy with this product it seems to be very sturdy and well made.

Must have for any truck

First things first, I received the hitch the next day after ordering. The hitch is extremely well built and finished. Install could've been easiest but it wasn't the worst. I originally bought it as a less expensive option for mounting a winch on the front of my truck and it looks like it'll last the rest of the life of the truck for sure.

Easy Install!

Very easy to install. Watched a youtube video and it explained everything perfectly. I put this on an 2002 Tahoe without a leveling kit or lift and it sits fairly low.

Front Hitch

This item fits so close to the truck that a hitch extension must be used to attache a hitch coupling to the hitch. MOST OF ALL I HAD TO DRILL HOLES TO MOUNT IT. THERE IS A "NO DRILLING" CLAIM ON THE ITEM AND THAT IS NOT ACCURATE. Also the instruction about using t he fish wire springs is not complete. you must use these at all times or you will lose the flat washer and nut. Unless you are very flexible laying on the ground it takes two people to install this unit.

Solid, handsome, strong, just like my truck

This hitch is beefy. Great finish. Fits well. It is heavy so it is nice to have a helper lift it into position while you fasten it. Curt quality shines through every time.

Easiest install ever

This hitch was the easiest and quickest hitch I have ever installed. 15 minutes including getting out and putting away my tools. I used a motorcycle lift jack to hold it in place. (I did not do the recommended bash pan modification) The quality and value was top notch like all Curt products

george

really pleased with the Curt front hitch for my 2017 Tacoma. I am 69 years young and had no trouble with the install with an extra hand from my wife for about 5 minutes. It tucked up nicely in the front end and the fit and finish of the hitch is pleasing to look at. I am impressed with the construction, strength, finish and fit.

Installation on Toyta 4Runner

There are issues with the hitch in that it will not interface directly with any after market accessory that uses the front bumper mounting bolts with out extensive modification. I'm still looking at how modification may be possible.
