    Description:

Unless you have eyes in the back of your head, backing up is an exercise in educated guessing. You know approximately how long your auto is, but misjudging a maneuver by even half an inch can send you on a costly trip to the body shop. Protect your back side from expensive dents, scratches and cracks with the WeatherTech BumpStep Hitch Step. Like a bumper for your bumper, it takes the blows so your rear end remains factory fresh.

Defending your rig's derriere from damage is just the beginning with the WeatherTech BumpStep. This versatile upgrade also doubles as a hitch step. Climb aboard to pack luggage in your cargo carrier, load your kayak into its carrier, scrub away bird scuzz during the next car wash, or access your truck bed. The Bump Step Hitch Step puts your roof right in reach, and its textured surface ensures you keep your footing once you're up there.

Built to take a beating, the Bump Step Trailer Hitch Step is made from an intense injection-molded composite resin that's rated to support up to 300 lbs. It mounts to any standard 2" receiver hitch, and the step surface measures a full 11.5" wide by 3.5" deep. Made in the USA, your WeatherTech BumpStep also boasts a Limited Lifetime Warranty.

    WeatherTech XL bumpstep

Excellent product! It sits about an inch lower then most step toe bumpers (the area under the license plate). It provides stability when you are climbing into the bed and climbing out with items. Check your hitch width to make sure you get the right bolt or lock.

    Function and fit.

Gives an extra layer of protection for the rear bumper on my 2018 tundra, and a stable step for washing the canopy.

For those of us with older trucks that do not have the fancy Corner steps on the bumper this is a very good alternative

    A must have accessory!

Very clean look and matches the vehicle really well without being obtrusive. A must have addition to protect the vehicle bumper from other careless drivers, and provides a nice step to boot!

    Quality over function.

Seems like quality product but limited function. Using on pickup. If gate down it is covered. OK to use as step, but no advantage over bumper. Looks like biggest value is to stop small bumps from behind.

    Bumper step

Good step. Looks like it will help greatly to protect the bumper in parking lots. I like this much better than the weather tech floor liners which stain easier than any floor mat I have used and could only be cleaned with weather tech cleaner.

    BumperStep Hitch

I like the looks and the design that makes it easier to climb in the bed. Too new to say how it will hold up. I hope it offers some protection in case of a bumper tap from another car.

    A REAL STEP UP

As an "old man" I bought this step to help me load by truck and do things in the truck bed. It is excellent for that. I had an old hitch pin with no lock and used it. I quickly learned that the life of this item on YOUR truck without a locking pin was very short and the aftermarket for these steps at yard and junk sales is very good. I now have it locked on and so should you.

    a little something extra

reaching or climbing into the bed of the truck just got easyer. Hopefully don,t need to find out how it might protect a little in the back end.

    So far so good

For some reason I thought it was hard rubber. Turns out it is hard plastic. I've only tapped one cinder block wall backing up with it so far and it held up. So far I'm happy with it.

    BumpStep Hitch Step

Purchased the product to prevent any accidental and potentially expensive bumps to the rear of my vehicle. I hope I never have to utilize it, but I bet I will.

    Avoid in cold climate

I had installed for less than 2 weeks, bumped a pole on a cold night and it snapped off. The composite material with which it is made obviously has no tolerance when cold. I would not recommend.

A real step up and a great go between

Perfect not only for short people in a large vehicle but also aids our large K-9 family by giving them a step up as well. Hope we never crash test it, but just in case it will be between the rear of our vehicle and an object on a collision course.

    A Very Useful Add-on

From the get go I found the Weather Teck BumpStep Hitch Step a very useful add-on for my truck. It helped getting access to my loads I was transporting but also gave a sense of security when backing-up in tight places knowing that if another vehicle was touched the resulting damages would be minor or even not at all.
