Truck Tent Review

Overall, very pleased with truck tent. Unfortunately, Napier delivered it initially with a wrong size pole. They are sending me a new one. Also, one of the poles cracked after first use but is still useable. I hope they send a free replacement. it works great and there is lots of space inside.

Sweet Tent

Just bought this for my 2018 Chevy Colorado. Instructions were clear and easy to follow for setup. Fit the bed perfectly and the retaining straps have good protection so that they don't scratch the paint. Very pleased with this purchase.

Napier Sportz Truck Tent 57 Series

May be too early to tell. I have used the tent 2 time since I purchased it. The tent seems good. Setup and breakdown are the hardest part. It is hard to feed the tent poles through the holes, and it's harder to remove them. The top roof pole is a pain setting up because of the Velcro straps. Very poor design. The top piece used for storage doesn't work well because things roll out of it.

Great tent... Not so great tent poles

This tent is very nice and seems durable. That's the fabric....the poles are another story altogether. I used it for one full week camping in Colorado. On the second setup the pole that holds open the tent opening snapped. This pole is about 5"-6" too long. It is virtually impossible to not break this pole. The tent itself held up for the week and even kept me dry when it rained one evening. The rain fly works!

2004 Tacoma Double Cab

Fits perfect in my 2004 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab. Short box 5'2". Good quality materials. Definitely do a practice run in the driveway to make it easier at camp. I am 6' and can just fully stretch out to sleep on a foam pad. Lots of poles and straps but results in a very sturdy set up.

Great product!

Fits great in my 2017 Tacoma TRD Sport. Very roomy on the inside. Easy to setup and take down and it actually fits easily back into the carrying bag.

Great little tent

Fantastic tent. Has all the features you'd look for in a truck tent. Fits perfectly in my 2017 Toyota Tundra shot-bed. The opening facing the truck can opens you can access the trucks rear window slider. Durable material and all the poles are color coded for the channels you slide them into. Only complaint, it's complex! A total of 10 poles. It took me the better part of an hour to put up the first time (by myself in the dark). Do yourself a favor and get some help when you set it up!

Nissan Frontier crew cab 5'

Took about 40 minutes to set up the first time. 2 blue rods large one is for tent other for awning. If you are over 6' it will be tight for you. We are lowing it now.

Going to be great!

I have had this out but once but it is going to get a lot of use. Easy set up and take down. Color coded-great idea. Set up first then put on truck bed. No need for finding a flat surface for set up! Minor negative, no "moon roof" vent... Can't wait to try it out again. My dog loved it too!

Great concept.

This tent served us very well. it rained a lot or first time out. we were of the ground so no issues with getting wet. i would recommend spraying the tent with waterproofing. the sides were saturated by the end of the trip. but like I said it was a lot of rain. would happen to y tent. the spray is just added protection.

Great Tent

So far we are really pleased with this tent. Good construction, and fits our truck perfectly. We're going to order the tent extension as well, since we like the truck tent so much.

Not too shabby

Bought this tent for my 2011 GMC canyon with the 5'1" bed. It was a little frustrating to learn how to set up by myself on a hot and windy day. One of the poles broke during my first set up and Napier replaced it for free and very quickly. The inside is quite spacious for short bed (5foot).

First tent, very satisfied

My boyfriend and I bought this for our first camping trip together. We camped for 3 nights on the beach in Key West and had a great time. We did a practice run of setting up the tent, which I highly recommend, so that when we got to camp we would have it down pat. It's easy to set up, the directions are easy to follow. The tent does seem to hold in heat considerably, as we had all its windows open, and there was a definite difference in temperature outside versus inside the tent.

Great Tent

This Napier tent is very easy to install and it withstands some pretty extreme weather. Here in Hawaii the sun and wind as well as rain can get pretty intense and this tenet handles it easily! This his my second Napier and I'm very pleased with it. It's not cheap but most things good aren't!!

Sportz Truck Tent for Chevy Colorado

I had to make a last minute overnight trip right after I got the tent, so decided to make use of it. I had to set it up in the dark the first time, but it actually went up fairly easily, and I was alone at the time. A little difficult to find the pockets in the dark, but overall, I was very pleased. The only real issue I had was my BedRug that extends onto the tailgate. Because of the straps that wrap around the tailgate, I had to pull the BedRug off the tailgate and fold it into the bed.

Great Tent! Highly Recommended

We ordered this tent on a Tuesday and had it by Wednesday afternoon. It is a little pricey, but we did get an Autoanything coupon of 20% off. We left by TH morning camped in our 2012 Nissan Frontier CC 4x4. Fitment was excellent and installation was easy enough for one person. The instructions sewn into the bag are a nice touch. The tent went up without a hitch and kept us dry and warm in the back of the truck with an AirBedz mattress on our way out to the Oregon Coast. Highly Recommended!
