Napier Prius tent

I've had an opportunity to use this tent twice at this point, once with the Prius hooked in and once as a free standing tent without the car attachment sleeve. I'm really happy with this product. For me it worked just fine. The fly offered a bit of shading and extra warmth for some cold nights of camping. The many options for entry and ventilation made the tent breath nicely with no condensation problems. Standing up in a tent was a priority because we need the privacy for clothes changing.

Fantastic tent!

I want to preface this by saying this is not our first Napier tent, so we may be a bit biased. This is a really well designed, high quality and easy to set up tent. Very roomy and set up is super simple, less than ten minutes with two of us. I've seen other reviews stating that the tent won't fit back into the bag, but that has not been our experience as it fits for us. Fits the back of our 2008 Subaru Outback perfectly.

Beautiful tent, very roomy with bathtub floor!

We have not been on our summer camping trip yet but I put this tent up easily at home after unpacking and reading instructions. I am a 59 yr. old woman so two people would be able to put up this tent in less than 20 minutes. Nice handled storage bag with directions attached to the bag, separate bags for poles and stakes. There are several car tents available but this one is the best-the car sleeve part is completely removeable if you can't or don't want to use you vehicle-very versatile.

Ready to takie it camping

We have just practiced setting it up in the driveway and it went smoothly like others had commented (2 of us). It also went back into the bag easy enough. Weather permitting we will take it out to the Buffalo National River soon.

Great buy

I am traveling across the US, visiting National Parks and more. Am writing this review from inside my Napier Hatchback tent on my way to Grand Tetons. Easy to set up and take down. Tons of room and I am 6ft tall. Saving so much money on hotels, allowing me some great adventures.

Tent to go

It went up really easy with the two of us. I worry about the hatchback rubbing a hole in the tent so I put a couple of towels on those corners to give it more support. Got heavier spikes, others bent to easy.

Okay tent

The setup and breakdown was very easy. Looks great and like how tall the interior is. We haven't camped in it yet so I can't give a review on how it holds up in rain or general use yet. Am a bit concerned about the bottom of the tent. Looks like it will break apart over time - like tarps tend to do. Wish it came with a footprint to go under the tent itself. Looking forward to trying it out!

Awesome Tent for Car Camping

Will use this tent next week for the first time. Tested it out on my 2014 Honda Fit when it first arrived and it worked perfectly! Easy and quick set-up with 2 people. Will need to buy metal stakes but that's the only "flaw" I've seen so far. Can't wait to break it in!

Outback tenting

We really liked this tent, it met our needs, large enough to stand up in, I am 6 ft 4 in, had plenty of room. we had set it up ahead of time so set up was easy, about 10 minutes, had sealed the seams, so it did not leak when it poured 2 nights. It fit the Subaru Outback well, did not need any other attachments and did not leak. We used it free standing and attached to car. Plenty of ventlation. Fits back in the bag! Only wish it was rip stop. M. S.

Good for on the go camping

I wanted to have a tent that I could leave in the car and when deciding to camp overnight, it would be there for me. I haven't used it yet, but I like the design and features and hopefully it will provide me many nights of comfort. I plan to sleep in the back of the Suburu and use the tent as an vestibule for changing clothes, and keeping my things dry in the event of rain.

2008 Honda Fit

Very nice tent, well made. Easy connect to Honda Fit.Only needed 3 straps to secure to the car. 1/rear wheel, 1 to the wipers. Pleasantly surprised that it's less than 5 min to disconnect if you need to go for a spin. Set up 30 min. Wanted option to sleep in the Fit in rain. Great to have storage in car and keep tent fairly clear.I would highly recommend. Fold Tent into 1/4 lengths then roll up tight. Let exhaust cool before connecting. TO MFG: Awning poles should have been aluminum

Excellent product!

This tent is very easy to put up - even for one person. It's roomy, and the two zippered doors and awnings on the rain fly offer lots of options for site selection. This is the perfect tent for my camping plans.

Dome+Car Tent

It is a well-made tent that can be attached to a station wagon (Subaru-Outback in my case). It a a bit heavy for a tent of its size. It takes getting used to to set it up especially if it is going to be attached to car. So I recommend to practice it before going camping with it.

I love it

The Napier Dome to go tent is great, easy to set up and take down and very comfortable. Leaky where the hatchback touches though and needs waterproofing spray. No problem getting it into the bag provided either.

single woman struggles

I love the concept. I have now used it twice. The tent expands the use of my Subaru Outback which is great. Like the tent, BUT, as a single woman I have found it a bit difficult to put up on my own. I thought it would be a little easier to put up. The short eaves pole is very difficult to squeeze into the double stitched pocket after one end is in. It takes a struggle - maneuvering and strength. There just has to be an easier method to get this done. I am also a bit concerned about the strength of these two double-stitched pockets as the stitching seems stretched and too taut when the pole is in position. Time will tell. Great tent ventilation.

"FIT" to go

My "Dome to Go Tent" had it's first tryout this past weekend on the back of a Honda FIT. It went up in about 20 minutes the first time. I think the next time will be even easier now that I've tweaked the process. The large windows and screen door came in handy in the 95 degree Georgia heat. A couple of fans and my dog and I were quite comfortable. I didn't sleep in the back of the car as planned because the dog couldn't find enough room to lay down (he's used to a queen size bed). We slept in the tent instead. The only suggestion I would have would be to add a power port hookup like I've seen on some tents and maybe a flap to install a small air conditioner (Southerners would appreciate this especially!)

Dome tent review

Used the tent for the first time this weekend and loved it! It will fold up to fit back in the bag if you have a little patience. Highly recommended! Thanks
