Description:

When it comes to driving comfort, the Chevy Avalanche and Cadillac EXT are closer to a European motorcar than a cab-over camper. But, just because you have a finer taste in motoring doesn't mean you don't enjoy a night out with Mother Nature. So, transform your truck that's not exactly a truck into a camper that's not exactly a camper with the Napier Sportz Avalanche Truck Tent.

Setting up the Chevy Avalanche Tent is a breeze—just park, pitch and unpack. The custom fit and color-coded pole-and-sleeve system guide the way, so in less than 15 minutes you're living it up in a cozy home away from home. Camping out doesn't get more convenient, or more comfortable than this.

Napier takes the comfort even further with the full-taped rain fly and 4' x 4' shade awning. The rain fly keeps you dry, the shade keeps you cool. And, the cool grey color scheme highlights your rig's sleek look when it's all set up. Napier also includes a handy stuff sack, so you can stow your Escalade tent behind the seat until the next trip. Better yet, Napier backs your Sportz Avalanche Truck Tent with a 1-year warranty.

Camping in our Avalanche

We had been looking at popup or hardside campers when a friend mentioned the bed tent. After checking it out on line we bought the bed tent and the ground tent extension. We went camping the day we received the boxes and although we ended up setting the bed tent up in the dark it was really easy.( I do not recommend doing this the first time!) Have not used the ground tent yet and I recommend a blow up mattress for the bed. Excellent product and well made.

Very happy with our purchase

We purchased the tent for our Avalanche. It fits it perfectly. Could be just a tad less tight, but we are really happy with it. If you have an Avalanche the tailored one is amazing because the area from the bed to the cab unzips for full use of the truck. Its awesome! The first time setting up takes some figuring out. But the second time will be a breeze. I took it down by myself. It was really easy and stores well. Bonus, it lines the entire inside of the bed.

Great concept

Tent sets up in about 20 minutes. I suspect it will take less time with practice. It makes good use of the space. I haven't been in the woods yet with it but I'm looking forward to it.

Nice tent

Love the space and ability to sleep with our heads in The truck. Kept supplies at out feet just inside the tailgate. Kept back closed up ands entered through truck back doors. Used it to camp for the great American eclipse!

We Love It

We love this tent. It is a breeze to set up and it fits my Black Diamond Edition Chevy Avalanche like a glove. This is a must for the camper that wants to go anywhere to camp.

Great option for camping

This was an inexpensive option which allows me to go camping after selling my RV, and researching new trailers. It was a bit challenging to set up the first time, but it fits perfectly, and once up it made much more sense. I removed a few of the poles, and just folded it back up in the bed of the Avalanche. Covered it with the bed cover, and am hoping it will be easier to set up from there next time.

Bought both Tents

I am new to Auto Anything but so far they are great. Best price, great knowledge of the product and a great product itself! I was out of town but my wife was up early Saturday morning to set them up in the driveway. She just loves the way both tents work together for our Avalanche. Great fit, tons of utility...nice to have an option that it specifically designed for our truck! Good stuff.

Great Tent! Rain Cover Ripped

The tent itself is incredible. Fits perfectly, snug fit so it's super sturdy. We were up in an area where it was REALLY windy & the tent didn't budge one bit. However, when putting the rain cover on for the first time, we had the straps completely extended as far as possible & it ripped :( Other than that, loved the whole setup. We got a lot of compliments on it from other campers, too.

great purchase

recently purchased this product and it delivered even better than we had originally expected. would recommend it to anyone shopping for an item such as this. did find it easier to assemble on the ground and then put it in the trick bed, though.

Good for the price

Kind of a pain to put up by yourself but if you have help, it's great. Overall the material and build quality are about what you would expect from a $250 tent. Design is great but got could be a bit better. I would absolutely recommend this tent.

assembling

The instructions were very hard to follow. There was not enough pictures to show what went where. It said door to face tailgate obvious but didn't say there was a door on each end. We only knew we had the right door at the tailgate because the correct colored pole was at the window. Took 3 of us the 1st time to get it up. But once up it is awesome.

One Time

so far I've only had the chance to use it once but like it very much, am glad I took the time to set it up once at home, would of been a bit more difficult setting it up at night having never done it before. also got the 5100 add-on tent very nice to have. pump on the mattress fairly useless but held air well, strap protectors work well.

Great tent for the Avalanche

Directions could be slightly better but overall it went together very quickly and came down and back in the very easily. Probably only take 15-20 minutes to get it out and setup again the next time. Was great to have all the extra space from inside the truck.

quality check

I have only at my tent up once. It fits nice, but I had one tie strap that popped a few threads when I was pulling it tight.

good but there is room for improvement

It's a great tent. I feel like they could have designed it a little better for easier/quicker set up. One of the poles already broke. I was able to tape it up but the materials should be higher quality.

Happy

We have only used it once but we are very pleased with the quality & fit and it went up quickly and easy. Lots of room and getting in/out through the truck doors vs. always having to open/close the zippers is a great bonus and makes it harder for the mosquitoes to sneak in.

Eric A. - Tent Review

We were very pleased with the quick shipment and the quality of the product, but the instructions leave a lot to be desired. They ought to give their current instructions to a person who has never seen their product and then watch the questions that arise as the person tries to erect the tent, a few more pictures and directions would be generate! We did finally figure it out and were pleased with the product and its performance.
