    Description:

Full-sized toolboxes may hold a lot, but they trim your truck's bed length at least 2 feet. What's worse, they're nearly impossible to reach when your bed's fully loaded. Break free from the traditional and bolt on Dee Zee's innovative Wheel Well Toolbox.

Anchored behind your truck's wheel hump, the Wheel Well Toolbox leaves your rig's bed open for longer freight. Plus, your Wheel Well Toolbox mounts right up against the side wall of your truck bed. You can easily reach your stuff without any hassle. No more climbing across your cargo or stretching over the side of your rig to get to that 5/8" socket.

Crafted from heavy-duty aluminum in a smooth or diamond-tread finish (depending on model), the Wheel Well Toolbox can endure almost any punishment. Yet, its lockable lid lifts with ease, thanks to its sturdy piano hinge. The Wheel Well Toolbox comes in a Polished Brite-Tread or black finish, and is backed by a Limited Lifetime Warranty.

    Notes:
    • In order to ensure a secure, shift-free fit on your truck, some minor drilling is required during the installation of your Wheel Well Toolbox.

    Love my Wheel Well Toolbox

The Wheel Well Toolbox was very easy to install, would love to have purchased one for the drivers side also but the plug for our 5t Wheel is in that back corner ...The whole reason for getting it in the first place was b/c of putting a External Fuel Tank in where the tool box used to be..and also with the construction style topper it wouldn't be accessible b/c of the toolbox on that side of the toppe...So all in all the Wheel Well ToolBox on the passenger side was and is perfect!!

Beats a wrench hiding crossover box

This box makes storing and accessing tools MUCH easier than a crossover box.Installation was ok and I had a piece of angle iron that I added at the top to brace it better. Will take about 2 more minutes to remove the box but the extra stability is worth it.Put tool drawer pad in the bottom of the drawers and you will love the ease of finding your wrenches.

This is a great tool box. It took all of 2 minutes to install. I've got only good things to say about this toolbox.

    Satisfaction

Overall the box will serve my needs. I think it was a little over priced compare to other boxes along the same lines. Was not an easy installation for 1 person. Need a helper for sure. One of the hole drilled for installation was not accessible from the underneath side of the bed.It came down thru a section of the frame.

Not as much room as I thought

I have a Dodge 3500. The notch out that goes over wheel we'll is a lot bigger than it needs to be. This wastes a lot of would be storage space. Instead of a universal box, a box built for specific trucks would be nice.

Patience is a virtue when installing

The worst thing about this box it that the front bracket is in the corner of the bed behind the box. This is definetly a two person job. Overall I'm happy with the box.

    Holds more than it looks

The tool box was quite easy to install, but that mostly is because I did not install the internal shelf. I needed the extra room. All in all, good tool box so far

    Dee Zee Wheel Well Toolbox

There are no instructions and I am disappointed that it is not custom fitted to the truck I have. If I were to mount it as the advertised picture shows, the top of the toolbox would be 4 inches below the top of the truck box. If the toolbox would be mounted next to the side, one couldn't open the lid.

    Wheel well tool box

I liked everything about the toolbox except the installation instructions. There are vague and incomplete. I am a handy guy and can figure it out but it would have been a quicker installation if the instruction were a little more precise.

    Good box serves its purpose

This box is very well built and I would deffinently buy another one. You have to istall a door on the iside of the box and it is fairly hard to get all the holes lined up while the box is on the ground. Also the latch that goes underneath the piece of aluminium on the indide of the box to latch it didnt line up, so the box didnt lock at first, but with a little modifying it worked.

Very easy to install! Work pretty good. Only complant is the lid wobbles a little in the wind at highway speeds. But other than that well worth the money!

    wheel well truck toolbox

    1. At this price the holes for the shelf should have been already drilled. 2. Front and rear panels were not flat even after the shelf was installed. 3. Weld blow through in one box. 4. At this price diamond plate is too thin making boxes troublesume to close each time used. 5. Hienge area of top bent. 6. Would NOT buy this product again.

Leaves plenty of space in truck bed

I like how I have the full length of the truck bed available. Only slight negative is the set of indentations running near the top horizontally. I suppose it strengthens the box and allows for a tray, but it does limit the width of items you can store below it.

    dee zee tool box

looks good. Too cold to install at present. UPS failed to deliver. Had to call, they made excuses, saying they had been here when they were not, else they could have left it here. I had to go pick it up at another location.

looks good, lock didnt close all the way. I had to grind 3/4 of an inch of of the locking arm to get it to close all the way. Other than that it works and looks pretty god.

Dee Zee Specialty Series Wheel Well Truck Toolbox

Just what I was looking for... Narrow enough to keep 48+" clear width in my 08 F150... Rattles around a bit on dirt roads...Lock is not really meant for high security...Good for straps and a few tool ect...

    Nice box

I like it because I can put dirtbikes, a snowmobile, a camper shell, whatever in or on the truck still. My only gripe is the black box came with plain aluminum colored mounting brackets that mount to the outside of the box.

    Needs to be deeper.

Its a nice tool box, but its not deep enough. I have one on the side that just fits my jack and tow strap nothing else. I think the tool box needs to go from the top of the bed to the bottom of the bed.

DZ double wheel well toolbox for '09 F150

The box looks great and installed rather easily. The first rain proved that it isn't waterproof. I added some caulking in a couple joints and better weatherstripping where the lid contacts the box (also drilled a small hole on each side to serve as a drain if water does come in). Hopefully this will take care of most of it. I have a smaller four-wheeler (Honda 300 4X4 with wide mudders) and it will still fit in my truck after the box was installed, so I'm happy. The only thing I'm worried about now is how well the keyed latches will work in the winter time??? Overall, a decent tool box for the price!

    Nice toolbox

I bought this toolbox for my 2003 Chevy Silverado 2500 Long box. The mounting brackets for the toolbox are made to attach under the bed rails, where the toolbox sits they cannot be used for my truck, I ended up rotating the back bracket and using a different bracket for the front..after I got the toolbox installed it looks great and holds all the stuff I had sitting in the bed. I still have room to load my ATV and the full length of the bed, I am happy with the product so far.
